Hi,
"I have a Ubiquity WifiStation wireless device that I am trying to set up in a fresh
Arch linux installation on a new box. I have no previous experience with this and
since I can only access the Internet occasionally thru my neighbor's machine,
I don't have much chance to search and find an answer."
The unit I have is the indoors version of the WifiStation. It uses the Atheros 9271
chip same as the outdoor WifiStation unit, but the idProduct is b002 while the outdoor
is b003. So it was necessary to edit hif_usb.c in the compat-wireless-2011-06-21 source
to include this static in struct usb_device_id ath9k_hif_usb_ids[].
Only problem now - signal strength very marginal - got to find a way to improve that...
