[SOLVED] Installing Without External Media (Have grub + spare disk)

Hey everyone,

I was wondering if anyone has any ideas on how to install Arch from a local disk rather than from external media. Specifically, I have two drives (say A and B). 'A' has grub installed in it's MBR and boots into a Ubuntu partition. The other drive is blank (or can become that way in a hurry).

Basically, I would like to be able to write an installer image to an arbitrary partition and then set a grub (2) entry to boot into it, but I'm not certain how that would work.

I know the ISO installer image has a bootloader that likely has to run to make everything work, so would grub would have to chainload into that bootloader?

Alternatively, and I search the wiki for something to this effect and could not find anything, if the installer scripts could be run from Ubuntu command line that would be 10x better still...

Anyone have any ideas?

Search the wiki for "Install from Existing Linux".
