Just happened again:
Sometimes a couple of programs stop working, eg login on a tty (user and root, but not in xterm), htop, netbeans, ps, pm-suspend. The terminal applications just stay blank, netbeans doesn't do anything.
On the other hand opera, top, xterm working without any problems.
The only way to get the programs working again is to restart. But there is another problem: when I try to restart (/shutdown/whatever) the process stops while sigterm and I have to restart with SysRq.
I got no idea what causes this but it's pretty annoying.
