Dear community,
I'm trying to install this USRobotics USR5411 card. The USR site recommends the use of ndiswrapper but arch won't download it. any ideas? I'm 2 days workin on Arch now so this might be a basic question..

You can install it from AUR. Read the wiki on what AUR is and how it works first.

Since this is an 802.11g card - and thus pretty outdated, support-wise - I think you have a better shot at finding out what chip is in it and check whether Linux supports it. Lspci should get you started, and linuxwireless.org is always a good reference site to start as well. Finding out whether your stuff's supported is as easy as googling the PCI ID.

Thanks. I'm pretty certain Broadcom BCM4318 is the chipset of this card. I found several install guides but they were written for different distros. Any tips?

Yes - follow my instructions, then check the wiki for the Broadcom cards .
