Hello,
I have a nvidia card and I run the latest nvidia 275xx driver.
When I check glxinfo I get this message:
Xlib: extension "GLX" missing on display ":0".
I was searching for the problem and found these lines in /var/log/Xorg.0.log:
[ 13.925] (II) Loading /usr/lib/xorg/modules/extensions/COPIES/libglx.so
[ 13.925] (EE) Failed to load /usr/lib/xorg/modules/extensions/COPIES/libglx.so: /usr/lib/xorg/modules/extensions/COPIES/libglx.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
[ 13.925] (EE) LoadModule: Module glx does not have a glxModuleData data object.
[ 13.925] (II) UnloadModule: "glx"
I think it is strange there is a map named COPIES where xorg searches for libglx.so. I checked and it exist even as libglx.so. libglx.so is a symbolic link that points to libglx.so.275.09.07
I don't understand what is the problem. Can somebody help me with this?
Thanks in advance

Did you create the COPIES directory yourself? I recall that we once had such instruction in the wiki: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php?ti … oldid=prev

Nope,
it is a fresh arch linux install. My previous arch install was 4 years old so I decided to do a new one as a lot of things changed and there where a lot of apps that didn't work anymore or gave a lot of error messages...

Ok,
I checked the packages and checked which files nvidia and nvidia utils needed concerning opengl. I deleted the COPIES directory and installed all the files on the location as they appear in the package.
Now it's working fine.
Thanks
