Wow, interesting!  I see you even have a systray (holding nm-applet) on the bottom right.  cool

What window manager are you running?  Doesn't that background give you a headache?  If so, I recommend at least

xsetroot -solid black

And regarding the big window in the middle... is that an embedded window manager (Xnest maybe?) or just the acme/sam text editor?

Cheers.

Seeing that screenshot makes me nostalgic ... now I think I might be inspired to post a screenshot of a plan9 inspired workspace.

Yea, that's trayer. I only need it to be able to access the NetworkManager stuff; usually I kill trayer once I've connected to a wireless network.

The window manager is rio, and the background is the default X background. It doesn't bother my eyes that much, but I might change it to a light grey colour (similar to Plan 9).

And regarding the big window in the middle... is that an embedded window manager (Xnest maybe?) or just the acme/sam text editor?

That's acme.

I've seen young people waste their time reading books about sensitive vampires. It's kinda sad. But you say it's not the end of the world... Well, maybe it is!

As you can see, Pragmata without anti-aliasing looks awful on my system too.

Thanks for trying changs, i guess we'll need Pragmata Pro for that (according to the designer it's better suited for aliased use on linux). It's expensive though, so not something to get right away..

Re: July 2011 Screenshots

Virtually the same theme, but switched over to subtle. Did much like it's tagging approach last time I tried it, but since I've recently been using two of my virtual 'desktops'; one for dwb, and the other with a bunch of urxvts on it, I figured it wouldn't bother me much anymore. I definitely missed subtle's tiling method.

Decided to try out using xsetroot to make a simple elegant background, and I think it looks pretty nice behind the terminals, but is a little bare by itself.
