Before telling me to switch to WPA, read what I wrote:
I have Wicd set up and I've been using the Curses client to manage wireless networks, but with this recent issue I've tried out the wicd-gtk client. My notebook can connect to WPA encrypted networks just fine [as is my home network]. BUT, I was at a friends house and it told me I had a bad password. My friend has his Gentoo install set up with wicd as well and he connects just fine. Upon comparing our "wireless-settings.conf"s we found that my input for his network has a "psk", for his WEP network. That doesn't seem correct to me.
Any ideas?
