Anyone have the Brother MFC-210C scanner working successfully?

I followed the instructions in this wiki article:  https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Brother_MFC-420CN

Scanner is not recognized by sane/xsane.  Wondering if anyone has the scanner working correctly.  Please note, I am NOT interested in the printer, only the scanner.
