Brightness turns to full after lid close
If I reduce the brightness of the screen, close the lid and opens it again, the brightness has been reset to the highest level.
Adjusting the brightness again will restart from the level I reduced it to.
Anybody else experiencing this? I'm fed up with these brightness problems. 
The laptop is a ThinkPad X201.

Are you closing it to sleep? Also, are you using Laptop Mode or have any custom scripts in /etc/acpi/actions?

What DM (KDE?) are you using? Did you check/define option to not do anything on closed lid in power manager (powerdevil?)?

Nope, no Laptop Mode, no acpi scripts, no DE, no sleep, no nothing. Closing the screen just turns the screen of - nothing I've set up, just the defaults.
