Akonadi Crashing when starting Konversation or other dependant apps...

When I start Konversation I see a progress bar saying "Starting Akonadi server" for about 20 seconds until it finally crashes and Konversation starts. I have the same progress bar if I goto System Setting -> Personal Information.

Here is what is displayed when Konversation is started from terminal:

I have tried uninstalling akonadi but it has dependencies that are critical such as the system clock. I have also reinstalled it and tried turning it off by editing my .config/akonadi/akonadiserverrc file to say "false" but it seems konversation just starts it again.

Any ideas?

I have went over the akonadi part of these instructions (KDE setup: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Kde) and here is what is diplayed:

Akonadi
Akonadi is one of the ways of getting data into Nepomuk. Its intention is to gather all kinds of PIM data from KMail, KAdressbook or Kopete. It collects chat contacts, email addresses, email attachments and email contents. First of all it feeds Nepomuk with this data but moreover it provides a centralized access point for all this data.
Disabling Akonadi
If you don't want Akonadi to be ran in your system (for your own reasons), edit ~/.config/akonadi/akonadiserverrc and turn
 StartServer=true
to
 StartServer=false
And then relogin into your account.
Configuring Akonadi to use MySQL Server running on the System
First, you need to set up the database using the following commands (replace password with the correct one):
 CREATE DATABASE akonadi;
 GRANT ALL PRIVILEGES ON akonadi.* TO 'akonadiuser' IDENTIFIED BY 'password';
 FLUSH PRIVILEGES;
If ~/.config/akonadi/mysql-local.conf does not exist then
cp /usr/share/config/akonadi/mysql-global.conf ~/.config/akonadi/mysql-local.conf
and uncomment the following line
sql_mode=strict_trans_tables
Then edit ~/.config/akonadi/akonadiserverrc:

I've checked around the net and only have found old posts concerning this. The dbus daemon is added to my /etc/rc.conf file.

did you try deleting it's config files/directories - .config/akonadi/ and .local/share/akonadi ?

I deleted the files and directories, uninstalled it, reinstalled it, and restarted, and the same errors.

I reinstalled and it works fine now. No probs. I think it must have happened during my messing around andpoking at stuff when trying to fix the networkmanager.
