Omnikey CardMan 3021 (USB Smartcard reader) and Java?

My reader is recognised by pcscd and running pcsc_scan displays info about my cardreader and also about my card if it is inserted..
The problem is that I want to use my cardreader in my browser using an Java applet but that is not working... Not sure what is missing or wrong but I had Fedora installed before and then my cardreader was working without any problems (and without me having to do anything)...

Does anyone know what I am missing to make this work? Or suggestions on howto discover what I am missing?

Regards,

BTJ

Re: Omnikey CardMan 3021 (USB Smartcard reader) and Java?

Fedora will automatically mount new hardware like that if i remember well... arch won't by default.

Try finding your card device name and mount it somewhere, i.e. : mount /dev/sdXY /somewhere

Does your java app work then? If so, look at the wiki to know how to auto-mount new hardware like that

Not sure if I understood... This is not a disk that needs to be mounted but a smartcard that should be read...??
