Is it still possible to add a welcome greeting to the new GDM3 login?

I haven't been able to locate any information on the subject, I've checked the Arch, Ubuntu, Gentoo Wiki's, and various other sites, can't find anything to indicate how to do this.

I know this was possible in the old GDM (gdm-old), but I am curious to see if it's possible in the new one. I've edited /etc/gdm/gdm.conf and nothing changes when I logout, I only get my hostname on the top.

It's no biggie if this isn't possible anymore, I can always install gdm-old from the AUR if need be. I'd rather be able to do it with the new one though.
