[SOLVED] Should I keep fuse and usblp ?

Hi everyone,
Recently I've get some problems running cups... After a quick look at the wiki I saw that the problem could be the usblp module being launched at the start (as I've add it in rc.conf)...

I've added this module beause of the Arch Linux Gnome wiki (when Gnome was on his version 2.x) saying that for gnome to mount we must add "fuse" and "usblp" in the Modules array in rc.conf...

Is this steel valid today ? I've been reading the new Wiki for Gnome3 and there is no reference to fuse or even usblp.... can I remove them from the Module array ?

Thanks in advance,
Luis Da Costa

It depends what else you need them for. For example fuse is needed by sshfs.

If it's managed by pacman: pacman -Qi fuse | grep Required

There's not much which uses fuse. You'll know what does because you've manually entered it into fstab (e.g., ntfs-3g) or onto the commandline (e.g. encfs). big_smile

You can remove it from the modules array and see what breaks. big_smile Normally if a module is needed either the module would be loaded for you by whatever is needing it or you'll get some errors somewhere.
