Graphics awesome fail - filemanager

Hello!

I am wondering if someone can tell me or help me with my problem? Everytime i open thunar or nautilus i get graphical fails

pic: http://data.fuskbugg.se/skalman02/4e21a … 9_hmmm.png

its nothing wrong with my graphic card, i can play games, watch HD-movies and stuff like that. Theres no problem what so ever. But everytime I open a filemanager this happens. However, it disappears when I click with my mouse in the window.

Re: Graphics awesome fail - filemanager

bug in nautilus? i keep getting random corrupted screens in Gnome3. that's why i changed my DE to Xfce4 and it works perfectly. and it's really low cost as far as computer resources are concerned.

Re: Graphics awesome fail - filemanager

do you have installed preload?

Something similar happened me when i was using ubuntu with preload and doing so many things at the same time.

my recomendation is: you shouldn't watch hd movies and play games and move files at the same time in a computer that doesn't capable to do it.

however...

do you use compiz?

do you use gnome or kde?

an if is it, do you have plus ram than 512mb?

do you have an intel integrated graphic card?

do you have installed arch linux?

do you have installed xf86-video-intel?

do you do pacman -Syu not so long time ago?

what's your computer's hardware? (gangsta!!)

I could resume writing, be more specific please :S

Hope to be helpfull

Re: Graphics awesome fail - filemanager

and what WMFS version do you have?

from git or AUR?

and why in the world you are using nautilus (huge app)  with wmfs? lol.

maybe using something like midnight commander could be less problematic,

and finaly i had to say that i don't know what's your problem. but in my case i use 32 bit arch even in  an 64 bit processor for stability purpouses :S

.....well if your problem is only when you use nautilus or thunar you should use another app, more like a console app.

i think that wmfs doesn't use gtk  and thunar and nautilus does it, and your problem is a weird loading of gtk stuff.

I don't like 64bit arch by now, but it's just me

don't mind me

sad
