Hello everyone,
I'm fairly new to Arch, and I'm loving it. I'm having problems mapping my controllers buttons/axis to emulator buttons. Arch detects the controller, but just doesn't seem to let it work with the emulators. I'm not sure if this is an Arch thing, an emulator thing, or a PEBKAC error. I assume it to be the latter. Here is some additional information:
Both joydev and usbhid modules are up and running.
Running "lsusb | grep -i Sony" gives the following output:
Bus 003 Device 008: ID 054c:0268 Sony Corp. Batoh Device / PlayStation 3 Controller
When i run "cat /dev/input/js1" , push buttons, and move joysticks, there is feedback.
I'm simply trying to interface it over usb, which I'm having a heck of a time figuring out. I'm not sure if I have to define any udev rules, etc.
Thanks for your help,
apapousek

I've used kega-fusion, mednafen-wip, sdlmame ,and snes9x with no configuration other than setting keys in the emulators themselves.
I've actually had to UNinstall xf86-input-joystick because my controller was controlling the mouse cursor.

Hmm, I don't have the xf86-input-joystick installed. Could you do a quick "lsmod | grep -i sony" for me, please? I want to see if you have the hid_sony module running.

Please disregard that last post. I can classify this thread as, "some idiot forgot they were working with QtSixA and had some daemons running." My controller now works perfectly over bluetooth, without usb. When I tried configuring it, the motion sensors were getting in my way.
