Mounting a squashfs at boot

Im trying to make a Live Arch OS by putting a installed Arch into a squashfs (apart from the kernel, init, syslinux, syslinux.cfg etc) and have init find and mount the squashfs to / (at boot) and then a tempfs on top to make it look writable. How would I go about achieving this?

Thanks.

Re: Mounting a squashfs at boot

If you can use a liveUSB, you will be able to save the changes - as slitaz does it http://www.slitaz.org/en/
I have no idea how does it work and how to do this in Arch ;P
