How do you guys handle addresses?

I have recently switched to remind and love it. Everything is in a simple text file, and if I have to use ical I can use rem2ical without issues.

How do you guys handle your addressbooks? I am looking for a simple text-approach as well, a format that will allow me to convert into from various file formats (vcard being the most important) but also converting "away from" for maximum flexibility.

So far I have only found abook but it doesn't allow me to import vcf. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Re: How do you guys handle addresses?

A quick google reveals that there is a patch for vcard support in abook, there is even an aur package that applies the patch for you.

Re: How do you guys handle addresses?

thanks for that. Let me ask again, though: how do you guys handle addresses? I just want to get some ideas from you, what works best for you and why. (i.e. issues with sync, fast lookups, etc.)
