[SOLVED] How to lock GNU screen session from a script?

Hi,

Since I am not accustomed to a DM, I simply start X with startx inside gnu screen. To secure the original tty the screen session has to be locked. Of course, all security is void if I forget to switch back to tty and lock the screen.

I know there is a way to start a process (startx) in a detached screen session. But is it possible to start this process in a LOCKED session?

Thanks.

I am not sure if this is totally applicable to your problem, but you could place "lockscreen" in .screenrc which locks the session on start.
