Eclipse-gef update on 7/26 broke my Eclipse <fixed but not solved>

I don't know how or why, but after the update I lost all plugins and everything in Eclipse. All I have no is the Java perspective. I have tried a complete uninstall and everything-- of all plugins. Nothing seems to fix this.

Anyone experience it too?

I was able to fix the problem by making sure I removed all

/usr/share/eclipse/plugins/

as well as

~/.eclipse

For some reason that update made a conflict which broke everything. I don't know why it occurred but you can fix it by removing everything and re-installing eclipse and all plugins.
