The power manager has worked flawlessly in the past, but today I noticed it has completely stopped working. I cannot even restart or shutdown my laptop from the top right dropdown.
symptoms:
1. the dropdown shows "power off" instead of the standard suspend.
2. the computer doesn't suspend hibernate on power button press or lid close (checked after changing settings via gnome-tweak)
I do not know if this was due to a recent update since I haven't noticed this for at least a week. I wonder if this is an isolated issue.
Suggestions please?
note:
suspend and hibernate work well with pm-utils.
