So I've spent a little bit of time with puppy linux and have learned that they always run as root!! Well I have been a linux user for over half a decade and have always thought this is a massive security risk. Their community doesn't seem to agree. I have searched for compromised puppy systems. Nothing! And many run puppy on their hard drives, so its not because its used as a live disk.
Why is it so wrong to run as root then? (and I don't mean protection from the user, as I have done a lot of damage over the years using sudo )
