[SOLVED] Strange tty resolution after boot up.

Hi, it seems I'm halving trouble with the tty on my laptop.
After grub hands control to the kernel the console's resolution goes crazy.

Notice the scanlines, position of text and junk at the very top.
I should also note I'm using nouveau.
Any ideas on how to fix this?

Do you have vga= option in grub config? If yes, then remove it.

No, I have no vga options in grub.

[EDIT] video=LVDS-1:1024x768@60 video=TV-1:d on kernel options seems to fix it.
Apparently it was trying to set it to the resolution to match the tv-out connector with a resolution my monitor doesn't support.
