hi, Im trying to install the flashplugin using pacman -U and the route to the .tar.gz package so
#pacman -U /home/usr/flashplayer11_bl_install_lin_64_071311.tar.gz
however it gives me the following errors:
error: missing package metadata in /home/btc/flashplayer11_b1_install_lin_64_071311.tar.gz
error: '/home/btc/flashplayer11_b1_install_lin_64_071311.tar.gz': invalid or corrupted package
ive tried tons of times, redownloading the file, making the package and the install but it gives me the same errors,
any clues on what im doing wrong or what should i do?
thanks in advance

Have you tried installing flashplugin from the repos?

You are probably trying to install the wrong package. Try:
pacman -U flashplugin-beta-11.0.1.60-2-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz

Look at the url he posted, it's not an Arch package at all.

I know. He is trying to install the package makepkg downloaded in order to make an actual pkg.tar.xz and, if everything went ok, it should be in the same directory.
