[SOLVED] Kernel log messages on boot

Hi guys,

I haven't seen such behavior before. Usually when Arch boots there is a nice list of events with notes what starts and status [done] [failed] etc. But now along with these entries on the screen I have a lot of kernel log entries. Is there a way to back to normal boot as before?

Re: [SOLVED] Kernel log messages on boot

sorry, nvm it is almost fine now after upgrading just a few mins ago to kernel 3.0. Just a few notices/errors in the boot list.

Re: [SOLVED] Kernel log messages on boot

When you upgraded did you get

[2011-07-31 18:35] warning: /etc/rc.conf installed as /etc/rc.conf.pacnew
[2011-07-31 18:35] VERBOSE= in rc.conf no longer has any effect.
[2011-07-31 18:35] Please append 'quiet' to your kernel command line.

in your pacman output? If so, act accordingly.
