svgalib

Has anyone been able to successfully compile this under the current arch 2.6 kernel?  I keep getting "error -1: unknown symbol in module" when trying to insmod svgalib_helper.ko.  I'm using version 1.9.21 svgalib which can be found at http://www.arava.co.il/matan/svgalib/.  It might just be an incompatibility within svgalib itself, but I can't get a response from anyone on that side.  Any success stories out there?
