hi
after i restarted my system following a system upgrade, i got the following errors :
1) i lost my sound completely (no system sounds either)

Its probably related to no.1 since it involves kmixd but kmixd showing up as running in system monitor.
i couldnt find anything on google or on the forum. I want to report this as a KDE bug if no solution is found. Has anyone faced this problem?

That takes care of 1 (still not sure) and 2. It doesnt cover no. 3. google search does not identify the requesting app and the linux manuals i have dont do either.
