Yesterday I updated the kernel and I've been having some troubles getting my wireless connection to work. Wlan0 seems to register:
$ iwconfig wlan0
wlan0 IEEE 802.11abg ESSID:off/any
Mode:Managed Access Point: Not-Associated Tx-Power=0 dBm
Retry long limit:7 RTS thr:off Fragment thr:off
Power Management:on
However, neither netcfg or wicd can connect. When running netcfg profiles it gives an error related to RFKill. I ran rfkill list and found that it was hardblocked, so I manually reloaded ath5k and the block was gone, but when running netcfg the block returned. There has to be a way to fix this, any ideas?
