I have a little super talent 32GB drive with Arch installed on it that I like to carry with me. However, I don't want to lose it and spread RSA keys, VPN keys, shadow files, etc. into the wild, so LUKS it is. However, it is extremely slow with LUKS. I've been reading online that with the encryption in place, the drive can't intelligently handle erase blocks correctly, rendering a lot more (theoretically unnecessary) writes. Is there any good solution to this while leaving the entire partition encrypted?
