No sound recording possible, misdetected hardware suspected

Hello again everyone,

I guess sound is not my forte when it comes to Arch Linux, as I had metallic distortion on my first installation of Arch (with GNOME 3), now that I have come back to Arch, this time with KDE, I have no abillity to record my voice.  I have attempted to calibrate Team Speak 3, and attempting to do so results in no recording.  However, when I run the KDE audio test pattern (the extended welcome music), it feeds back into TS3's test tool, meaning that obviously playback and recording have somehow been crossed together.  Any help in finding the root cause of this would be greatly appreciated, as this is the last major hurdle I have separating me from resuming normal operation on this computer. I love Arch, I just need to get it to work!

Re: No sound recording possible, misdetected hardware suspected

I'll try to provide as much information as possible to help those who are viewing this thread, starting with the main audio packages I installed.
Audio Library Packages installed:

pulseaudio
pulseaudio-alsa
pulseaudio-plugins
alsa-lib
alsa-plugins
Gstreamer bases (good, bad, ugly)
Gstreamer plugins (good, bad, ugly)
phonon-gstreamer (phonon with Gstreamer as it's backend)
speex

Here is the output of "pacmd" in hopes that someone may see a misconfigured NVIDIA MCP51 High Definition Audio unit.

If there is something wrong with it, what can I do since the fixes noted on the ALSA page in the Arch Wiki (link: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/AL … hone_Input ) don't seem to pertain to Kernel 3 (I looked at the /etc/modprobe.d/modprobe.conf file, and it is more or less empty and says that it is for kernel 2.6.x)?
