There is a list of the different apps that do this in the Screenshot rules post stickied in the Artwork & Screenshots board.

Conky is for the root desktop. There is a conky screenshots thread in that same forum if you want to get an idea of what you can do with it.
What you are after is Archey, or one of the scripts that does the same thing...

ohhh ok, i see now
Is it possable to get a really nice looking Arch Symbol. like using an actual transparent picture?

All those scripts are written for the terminal - they essentially manipulate text as that's what terminals display.

hm, ive definatly seen someone with a nice fancy looking blue Arch logo that looked more like an image than the text, it was shiny. i cant remember were the video is. but thanks for the help so far!
just wish i knew were the video is that i saw ages ago

The only way to get an image in a terminal emulator would be if it allows you to set a background image. Does konsole allow that? If so, you could use one of the logos from the archlinux-artwork package.

thanks for all the help guys, i got a background image and i chose alsi it looks cool
i just have one last question, how do i make the konsole open with the command alsi executing each time i open it. so that every time i open my konsole. the alsi info shows up automatically

You can configure the Default profile in the Settings entry of the menu bar.
And change there the command to run when Konsole uses that profile.
Put in the Command line:
/bin/bash -c alsi
(i don't know what is 'alsi', but you say it is executable)

ok. i added the command and the terminal opens and just instantly shuts down, now i cant open the terminal, it opens for 1 second than vanishs
it executed fine before i added it to the profile by typing alsi
alsi is based of archey. brings up the info with a nice looking Arch logo
Edit: ive fixed the konsole by going to to share/apps folder in home .kde4 and editing the Shell.profile, but still. if theres a way to execute alsi on starting konsole. without it crashing, id love to know
theres a screenshot of alsi and the command working fine when i type it generally in the konsole. but when added to the actual profile it crashs/vanishs
