Hey, I'm in a mess here... after upgrading from kernel26-rt to linux-rt, my sound running pro-audio is now shot.
the sound is very distorted... I get crazy xruns, so bad that I can't run any pro audio apps.
the only difference is the new kernel and due to that, I had to stop using nvidia drivers and use the nouveau...
does any know what could cause this??

I also used the rt-Kernel and jack with guitarix today for the first time since the update to linux-rt and I couldn't get rid of the xruns either. I don't think it has something to do with the graphic card driver, I fear the new rt-patches aren't the best ...

On the rt-list it seems real-time performance for this patchset is as good or better as 2.6.33's rt patch. I have not tried it out myself though. Try to get nvidia working, as per my advise on the AUR.

yeah, so I've heard ngoonee but it's a hell ride for me here... for the nvidia, if the issue is not nouveau related, I will stick with nouveau. tired of being controlled by Nvidia folks...
