Installer needs to be updated

I don't know where to post installer bugs, but I know this'll get seen here:

1. menu.lst is not updated to deal with the linux 3 numbering scheme, and symlinks are not created (i.e. vmlinuz26 --> vmlinuz-linux is not happening, so booting doesn't work without fixin').

2. mkinitcpio is not run after editing mkinitcpio.conf.  This causes a _lot_ of trouble for anyone using lvm or root encryption.

Hope this gets to the right place and helps someone!

Thanks to this Tallahassee for showing workarounds for these bugs: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php … 59#p976259

Re: Installer needs to be updated

Perhaps item 2. is not a candidate for a bug since the user should run a file of that type as a matter of proper procedure.

I believe the other items will not occur with linux-3.0.2-1 which does insert the correct required changes from kernel26 which I have noted in an install of linux this day.
