raid controler EX8650

I wonder if anyone can assist me with seting up my raid controler card promise EX8650. The card bios recognizes my drives just fine but arch linux 3.0.2 gives me this error

IS my card bad  or I have it setup incorrectly. I am trying to use it with mdadm as I have more than 8 drivers.
