package conflicts

Hi, I'm very new to all this: just tried to update my packages and got the following error

[root@ewanslaptop ewan]# pacman --sync --refresh --sysupgrade
:: Synchronizing package databases...
:: current is up to date
extra                    [################] 100%     203K    95.5K/s  00:00:02
:: gecko-sdk conflicts with mozilla-firefox. Remove mozilla-firefox? [Y/n]    n

error: package conflicts detected

So I tried to remove gecko-sdk and got the following:

[root@ewanslaptop ewan]# pacman -R gecko-sdk
error: this will break the following dependencies:
  gecko-sdk: is required by mplayer-plugin

What should I do? Is there a way to remove this pesky file if so what? And if I remove it will I break mplayer?

Cheers

Re: package conflicts

When I did the -Syu yesterday, I had the same problem, but it did not say anything about the mplayer-plugin package.
On -Syu, it said there was a conflict, and so I tried to remove gecko-sdk, and pacman said it could not find it in the database.:shock:
In the end, I simply -Sf'd (forced) the firefox install.
