Ok. I installed and it's working great. But I have a problem, the indicator bar always crash/reload when switch between windows.
I saw in this thread that the issue is fixed sometimes ago. Unfortunately, it still happens to me. What should I do to fix the problem?

HI chenxiaolong, thank you for your fantastic and hard work in porting Unity to Arch. I was wondering if you could port the unity bottom launcher. I use it on my ubuntu netbook but it would great to have it on Arch too

The instructions you linked to at WebUpd8 should work just fine (as far as setting it up).

Thank you so much for your repository!
I just now checked it out (gave up on compiling everything myself... too much work going back and forth and I didn't have time). Unity runs smoother than it did in Ubuntu!
Enjoying having a pretty desktop... lol

Which display manager do I have to use in order to login into Unity, because lxdm won't work for me!

I am personally using GDM, which is working great. You'd select the session "Ubuntu" or "Ubuntu 2D", although the panel in Ubuntu 2D doesn't draw correctly for me. I also have SLIM but I'm not sure what the proper command would be for using that.

I'm glad to hear this
unity-rotate-bzr is now also available in the repo. thanks to chenxiaolong as always for his efforts.

kdm, gdm and lightdm are fine. I guess you could put startunity3d or startunity in /etc/slim.conf but development of slim has been stalled so i'm not using it anymore.

Anyone else having this issue?
bzr: ERROR: Connection error: Couldn't resolve host 'xmlrpc.launchpad.net' [Errno -2] Name or service not known
Trying to build unity-rotated-bzr. I got through once but then the connection dropped halfway through.

I got that issue too yesterday. It's a server-side problem. Maybe Ubuntu is doing some maintenance with the Launchpad servers. Just wait a little bit and it should work again.

I tried it today and everything went fine, thank you for this post! The thing I dislike is that I have to install those patched packages. For example, because of glib-ubuntu, I cannot run gimp 2.7 anymore, as it requires a newer version, I wish they wouldn't force us to patch all those packages

That's weird...I can run it just fine. Could you try running Gimp from a terminal and post the output here?

Nothing appears in the terminal, only a window saying:
---------------------
GIMP requires GLib version 2.30.2 or later.
Installed GLib version is 2.30.1.
Somehow you or your software packager managed
to install GIMP with an older GLib version.
Please upgrade to GLib version 2.30.2 or later.

Unfortunately, installing via the AUR will not work. You'll need to either use City-Busz's repository (http://ayatana.info) or compile the packages from City-Busz (also http://ayatana.info) or from my git repo (https://github.com/chenxiaolong/Unity-for-Arch).
