Installing Arch on a USB Key Partition

I'm new to Arch Linux, and installed it on a partition on my USB Key to try it out (it's cool!.... so far).  One problem though.  It's an 8GB drive with two partitions.  I installed Arch on the first partition (2.5GB) and the rest is for storage.  This is fine on computers that run Linux, but Windows only recognizes the first partition and does not see the storage partition.

Is there a way I could copy my entire Arch filesystem so I could reformat my USB Key with the partitions in the correct order?  I was looking into Partimage and CloneZilla.  I am also open to other solutions.

Re: Installing Arch on a USB Key Partition

If I remember well, windows normally do not recognise file systems unless they are fat32, ntfs ...

My storage partition is formated as ntfs.

I found out that partimage doesn't support ext4, so I'm gonna try clonezilla.

You could also try to use this to move/resize/shrink/copy partitions:
http://gparted.sourceforge.net/livecd.php

So, you could probably just shrink your data partition, move root partition and copy data partition before root one and setup size as you want.

Re: Installing Arch on a USB Key Partition

Just an FYI, re: Windows, that OS will NOT see any partition on a removable device that is not the first one.  IE your storage partition has to be the first on eon the key or Win will not recognise it as a valid partition.  IME I have encountered installs where on certain hard drive configuration this also seems to apply.  Sad but that's how Microsoft plays ball.

Clonezilla worked fine!  For anyone else who wants to restore an image of a partition to a different partition, make sure you read this:
