[SOLVED]ASUS eeepc 901H and xfce4-power-manager issue

Hello,
I am having a weird problem with xfce4-power-manager. I have power manager in menu but it displays nothing and never runs. I am attaching a screenshot.

Two questions:  What happens if you click run
and could you please post the output when you run the program from a terminal program instead of from a menu?

When I click "run" nothing happens, and when I run in CLI here is the output
Any ideas? I`ve already moded for laptop_mode power management... but I really want to have the simple xfce power management smile

How do you start xfce4?
Is dbus running (Is it in your daemons array in /etc/rc.d)

Re: [SOLVED]ASUS eeepc 901H and xfce4-power-manager issue

I don't know lxdm -- sorry.
Try this.  Disable lxdm.  If you are starting it from /etc/inittab, then, as root, just do an init 3.  that should stop your login manager.  If it is in your /etc/rc.conf DAEMONS array, take it out (for now) and reboot.

Then, log in through the console as your user and execute ck-launch-session dbus-launch startxfce4
If you do not have Consolekit installed, the command will be just dbus-launch startxfce4

Re: [SOLVED]ASUS eeepc 901H and xfce4-power-manager issue

Fixed the issue. I`ve pacman -Rs dbus then did it again and make power manager an auto start session and saved the session. Now it`s working. Weird ... here it is in tray now

Okay hmm

I guess it is solved, so go ahead and edit your first post and add [SOLVED] to to the thread title.
Thanks
