Hello guys,
I just formatted my Macbook3,1 with arch + kde (due to HD fail). Everything went fine but the audio jack. Multimedia works fine, I can hear music or any kind of sound effect from the laptop speaker, but if I insert my headphone (or anything else) in the jack, pc speakers correctly mute, but I can't hear nothing from the headphone. I tried to insert the line
options snd-hda-intel model=intel-mac-auto
in /etc/modprobe.d/modprobe.conf (as in the macbook page on archwiki), or with model=mb31 (as in http://www.kernel.org/doc/Documentation … Models.txt )
but nothing changed. Now, when I start kde it informs me that the device "jack" doesn't work and it falls back to . (yes, it's empty)
Considering that I never had problems with alsa on this laptop I sincerely don't know how to solve this issue and I feel a little newbie about this.
If you need more data just ask.
Thanks a lot to everybody and forgive my english.
PS: It physically works because when i start a song (or something else) I can hear a little noise in headphone, and in MacOS it works correctly.
PPS: I was forgetting
