Segmentation fault

how to solve this question?
is that the udev  fault?
this kernel is 2.6.18 and to replace the kernel 2.6.30

Without knowing what version of udev you're using, it's hard to say. I'm guessing that it's a recent version meaning that 2.6.18 is very much unsupported.

Is this a VPS? You may run into other issues with a kernel upgrade if it's using OpenVZ.
