Hi all,
As the title says Archlinux no longer reboots properly, just shuts down to a blank (turned off) screen but the power light stays on. This is on an Acer Aspire One 110. I think it started happening around the time of 3.0 kernel update but can't be sure. Lots of stuff stopped working then so I thought it was related to that but just reinstalled and it's still not working. I should add that rebooting worked fine under ubuntu. Could anyone suggest a place to start for solving this issue?

A cup of coffee and some quality time looking at the system logs. dmesg probably won't help much as it goes away after reboot. You might want to change your verbosity level to increase the detail of the logs. This is done in /etc/rc.conf (unless you are using systemd. systemd has its own method described in the wiki)
