kernel panic

after update yeasterday I was not able to run any programs at the command line, I am getting a "No such file or directory" and when I try to boot I get this.

boot screen: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/197383/289145_2 … 0629_o.jpg
pacman.log: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/197383/pacman.log

I have tried the command with glibc from this https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php … 63#p989663 but it did not fix it..

Re: kernel panic

You probably need to reinstall all software which return "call to execv failed" (/sbin/switch_root is unavailable, because it's in broken util-linux package)
Do it the same as with glibc.
I wonder what caused this error. What were you doing durning update?

Re: kernel panic

Did you replace /lib64 with a symlink to /lib? That's what I did to cause this problem, and you need to make a /lib64 regular folder, then reinstall glibc as detailed in that other thread.

glibc installs symlinks to /lib/ld.so in /lib64, so if /lib64 is a symlink to /lib, it will install a recursive symlink over your ld.so, rendering it impossible to run any program on your computer.
