Notification "collector"?

Hi,

Is there some software that will sit in the notification area and "collect" notifications? So basically after my battery monitor pops up saying "low battery" and my Firefox completes its downloads and pops up with "downloads complete" I will have a label "2" in my notification area to click and show past notifications?

Thanks

KDE4 and GNOME3 support persistent notifications.

Re: Notification "collector"?

This for an Openbox/tint2 setup, unless the feature in KDE/GNOME is desktop independent?

Re: Notification "collector"?

This can be scripted using [statnot].

Re: Notification "collector"?

I had a look at statnot but it seemed like I would need to use a WM such as dwm or something like dzen. I wondered if something existed that would sit in the notification area of my panel (currently tint2).
