I got a Philips Semiconductors SAA7160 (rev 03) based TV-Chip from Avermedia. I have been trying to compile firmware and modules for several days but I don't have enough knowledge. Sources are available here

I think the sources from Manu Abraham are the ones to use and they are recommended by Linux TV. I always get compiling errors.

I'm using a Hauppauge card which uses the saa7164 module. This is already in the kernel. You may just need to install the firmware for you card if it requires it.
