Greetings,
I am using Arch64, and running flashplugin 10.3.183 from multilib. The matter is: when I have any flash stuff running in a browser, either nothing else can play sounds (speaker-test produces no sound output), or the other applications can play sounds, and flash itself has no audio.
Is this something I can solve or is it a bug with flashplugin or ALSA?
Thanks for the help,
DarkForte

Did you try using version flashplugin-beta 11.0.1.129-1 from AUR?

Maybe there is a new turret, or some walls have moved. Or perhaps someone has temporarily removed the floor under your bed."

Yes, but I had to switch from it because it was making Gnome lag and crash every time the plugin started, being wildly unstable. However, I don't remember having this specific sound issue with it.

Perhaps your problem is with Gnome. What did the error messages say when it was crashing? I have been using the AUR flashplugin for x86_64 and have never experienced any serious stability issues. But I use dwm or evilwm.
Anyway, there are two mentions of flash on the alsa page:

https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Ad … resampling
Do either of these apply to you?

Not really. They involve stuff I don't even have installed. The problem is not that I don't have sound in flashplayer, but rather that it blocks the sound output of other applications.

Actually, this will probably solve your problem:

The lib32 packages are already installed.

And you aren't using pulseaudio or OSS?
