E17 starts with a segv fault

Hi,
      I am playing with Arch as a kvm guest before committing. In the past I have run suse ubuntu and gentoo as well as some time on system V. I have followed the install instructions and everything else seems to be working. There is nothing in the Xorg logs and I haven't found any enlightenment logs. Not even sure what things you would like to see.

I am using startx to start it all at this stage. .xinitrc is a single line:

    exec enlightenment_start

That Wiki gives you 3 possible ways to install E17.
Which one did you use?

could you change your .xinitrc to : exec enlightenment_start >e17.log 2>&1

and then post the output of e17.log in your home-directory.

Don't mean to hijack the thread, but if someone can answer also how to get consolekit to work with enlightenment 17.  Would it be exec ck-launch-session  enlightenment_start?  When I tried this, it works sometimes but sometimes it doesn't automount my drives.

Betchern0t, have you tried to put the locale "en_US" on your system. It can be a E17 initializing problem.

Hi Libernux,
                     now tried that. It removes the error in the log for the locale but the segv continues. I am thinking about upgrading to the latest using the script from the wiki.
