Run bash script when screen turns on?

Hi everyone,

Is there a way to run a script when the monitor comes back from sleep? The computer isn't suspended, just the monitor. I was wondering if there was a hook somewhere, I didn't want to have a cron job continually check if the monitor is sleeping.
