Unusual Behavior on Console with LXDE

If I have an X session with LXDE running and switch from X to a console, the console only responds to every other keypress.  This doesn't happen when X is just at the SLiM login screen.  It seems more likely that it is an issue with LXDE than X, but I can't pinpoint it.  Any ideas?

I never thought of SLiM being a potential cause of the problem, since the issue doesn't arise until I login from SLiM.  It seems like it might be that, however.  What does your inittab look like?

My inittab is bog standard.  I just added this from the Wiki page:

 x:5:respawn:/usr/bin/slim >& /dev/null

Slim causes this for me as well but only on tty1.  Use another.

Re: Unusual Behavior on Console with LXDE

From the threads loafer linked to, it seems the problem happens when you use redirection in inittab. Though loafer uses it and doesn't have the problem, so idk. It's definitely not slim related, as I don't use it and have the problem. I use this:

x:5:once:/bin/su gusar -l -c "/bin/bash --login -c startx > /dev/null 2>&1"

Later today I'm gonna play around a bit, see what I'll be able to figure out.

Edit: Ok, at least for my case I figured out a solution. Just add & to the end of the line.
