Disabling urxvt Scrollback Buffer

Is there any benefit to having a urxvt scrollback buffer when one uses tmux? It appears to be completely redundant and of incomplete functionality (obviously it only stores the output, not distinguishing between multiplexed terminals) assuming one always uses a terminal multiplexer with scrollback buffers (e.g., tmux). I have been considering disabling it to save memory by specifying

urxvt*saveLines: 0

in ~/.Xdefaults.

Re: Disabling urxvt Scrollback Buffer

If you use a multiplexer then you don't need the urxvt buffer. But, you should maybe keep it for times when you might not open a terminal in a multiplexer. Just set it to a lower value, and it won't consume much memory.
