Hi, I just took ownership of a IBM Thinkpad T23. It of course does not have wireless, so I picked up a D-Link WNA-2330. It doesn't seem to work. I've tried a live CD of Linux Mint 11 and it works perfectly, is there some packages I need to download or changes to config files I need to make for it to work.
Thanks for all your help in advance.

Wow, a PCMCIA device, people still use those?
Anyway, "doesn't work" is not very helpful. What have you tried, what were the error messages? And, as always, the first place to check when you have hardware issues is dmesg.
It should work with the ath5k driver.

See what Mint does to support it, do the same on Arch.
Off-topic - your title doesn't even need one question mark, never mind four.

Why see how Mint supports it and do the same in Arch, why not just switch to MInt. If it runs off Live CD wireless is recognized, runs from hard drive it's not recognized. Possibly the kernel.

Sure, go for it. I got this crazy idea that you wanted to use Arch, because you posted your question in the Arch forum.

sandman6471,
please mark the thread title as [SOLVED] instead of merely posting this fact. (Edit your first post.)
