kernel Support for UEFI

I am presently trying to load various Kernel images via GRUB using EFI. The Red Hat image succesfully loads, however I am facing problems trying to load the MontaVista image. I am trying to figure out if MontaVista is UEFI compliant. When Grub tries to load the image the entire process comes to a stand still, it kinda hangs. Any suggestions?
